The Record Location is where we set up our preamps and recorder, and can be anywhere in the venue within 125 feet of the stage junction box.  A space approximately 6’ X 6’ is required, with a power feed of 120V AC at 10 amps provided by the venue.  We have spike protection and battery-powered backup for our equipment, to save recordings in the event of any power failure. If you would like a secondary (backup) recorder, it can be rented at an extra charge.  As soon as possible after the recording is done, we make a copy of all tracks to a second  drive.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

    There is no added processing on any of the recorded signals, whether EQ, compression, gating, hormonal additives, etc.  By recording 24-bit, we have over 20db of headroom beyond the highest useable dynamic range, and we use this to advantage by recording at conservative levels to attempt to retain every peak.  Your noise floor and signal-to-noise are not compromised, and you can decide about compression and other processing at mix time.  Customers who wish to substitute preamps, converters, or other equipment of their preference will be accommodated at an extra charge.
