Any number of tracks up to thirty-two can be accommodated, at 44.1 or 48 kHz, either 16- or 24-bit depth. Sample rates of 88.2 and 96 kHz are available, but reduce the maximum track availability to 16. We recommend 48 kHz, 24-bit for very high quality recording with the maximum track count (32); the 24-bit word depth allows recording with a comfortable headroom margin. Unless otherwise requested, we record in .wav files, as these are compatible with most DAW’s and music systems for later mix-down. Included in our recording fee is a one-time transfer to the customer’s Firewire hard drive. Other transfer options are available at an extra charge. The customer gets a separate file for each track, and these can then be imported to a session in your mixing workstation.
Recording equipment setup and tear-down is included. recordmyshow will supply one or two engineers, at its discretion. If more personnel are required, additional charges may apply (see Fees). The Basic Package does not include mixing, though we would be happy to offer quotes.
